Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to join our team, focusing on managing and enhancing our digital presence for geological mapping and geoheritage conservation projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to promote cutting-edge geosciences projects through various social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to promote geoheritage projects and engage with the public.
  • Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including text, images, and videos.
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.
  • Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to improve engagement and reach.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and project teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in content creation, including graphic design and video editing.
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the geosciences field is a plus.
