Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to join our team, focusing on managing and enhancing our digital presence for geological mapping and geoheritage conservation projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to promote cutting-edge geosciences projects through various social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement social media strategies to promote geoheritage projects and engage with the public.
- Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including text, images, and videos.
- Monitor social media channels and respond to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.
- Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to improve engagement and reach.
- Collaborate with the marketing and project teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in content creation, including graphic design and video editing.
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with the geosciences field is a plus.
