Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team. This role will focus on expanding our market reach, establishing strategic partnerships, and creating new revenue streams. If you are a creative thinker with a strong network and a proven track record in marketing and business growth, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing & Outreach: Design and implement marketing strategies to promote Diggeonaija’s unique geotourism offerings and services across various platforms.
2. Revenue Stream Creation: Identify and develop diverse revenue opportunities through partnerships, collaborations, and innovative business models within the geotourism space.
3. Partnerships & Networking: Build and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the tourism, travel, and hospitality industries to expand Diggeonaija’s market presence.
4. Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new trends, competitor strategies, and potential business opportunities.
5. Brand Promotion: Increase awareness of the Diggeonaija brand by participating in industry events, forums, and online platforms.
6. Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to optimize customer journeys and improve engagement with potential clients and partners.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in business development, marketing, or a similar role, preferably in tourism, hospitality, or a related sector.
2. Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, content marketing, and social media strategies.
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
4. Ability to identify opportunities for growth and create actionable strategies.
5. A strong network within the tourism, travel, and hospitality industries is a plus.
6. Creativity, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
