Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Cinematographer to join our team, focusing on capturing high-quality visual content for our geological mapping and geoheritage conservation projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the visual storytelling of Nigeria’s geological heritage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality video and photographic content of geoheritage sites using advanced equipment.
  • Employ drone technology to obtain aerial footage and site simulations.
  • Edit and produce engaging visual content for various platforms, including VR and 360-degree videos.
  • Collaborate with geoscientists and other team members to accurately document and present geoheritage sites.
  • Maintain and manage all cinematography equipment and media assets.
  • Participate in field expeditions to document geological features and processes.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with 360° video production, VR, AR, and other immersive technologies.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
  • Knowledge of drone operation and aerial videography.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in cinematography.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Cinematography, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional cinematography.
  • Excellent technical skills in video production and editing.
  • Strong visual storytelling abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work in various locations across Nigeria.
