Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Cinematographer to join our team, focusing on capturing high-quality visual content for our geological mapping and geoheritage conservation projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the visual storytelling of Nigeria’s geological heritage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality video and photographic content of geoheritage sites using advanced equipment.
- Employ drone technology to obtain aerial footage and site simulations.
- Edit and produce engaging visual content for various platforms, including VR and 360-degree videos.
- Collaborate with geoscientists and other team members to accurately document and present geoheritage sites.
- Maintain and manage all cinematography equipment and media assets.
- Participate in field expeditions to document geological features and processes.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with 360° video production, VR, AR, and other immersive technologies.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
- Knowledge of drone operation and aerial videography.
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous work in cinematography.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Cinematography, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional cinematography.
- Excellent technical skills in video production and editing.
- Strong visual storytelling abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel and work in various locations across Nigeria.
