Job Overview
We are looking for a Sales, Marketing, and Outreach Officer to lead the promotion of Diggeonaija’s geotourism offerings and branded merchandise. You will create innovative marketing strategies, manage e-commerce, and foster partnerships with artisans and retailers. This is a unique opportunity to combine passion for Nigeria’s heritage with business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing & Outreach: Create marketing strategies to promote Diggeonaija’s geotourism offerings and merchandise across both online and offline platforms.
- Revenue Stream Creation: Develop new revenue streams through branded merchandise (apparel, souvenirs, and travel accessories) inspired by Nigeria’s natural and cultural heritage.
- Merchandise Strategy: Collaborate with designers to create a unique line of products that resonate with both local and international customers.
- E-Commerce Management: Set up and manage an online store for Diggeonaija’s merchandise, including product listings and inventory.
- Partnerships & Networking: Establish relationships with artisans, retailers, and tour operators to distribute merchandise and promote geotourism experiences.
- Customer Engagement & Sales: Drive sales through engaging marketing campaigns and develop loyalty programs and special offers.
- Event-Based Sales: Plan and execute merchandise sales at festivals, pop-up stores, and geotourism events.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in marketing, sales, or e-commerce, preferably in retail, tourism, or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing and e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to collaborate with designers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Strong communication and sales skills.
- A passion for geotourism and promoting cultural heritage.
- Experience with event planning and promotion is a plus.
